frequently asked questions

A medical pedicure is a non-invasive procedure performed by highly skilled foot care specialists who combine podiatry with nail care. This treatment is performed under the most sanitary conditions. it addresses issues such as: Corns Calluses, Dry and cracked heel, Toenail fungus, Nail discoloration and Ingrown or overgrown toenails.

We think that a medical pedicure is suitable for everyone and anyone looking to take care and pamper their feet. We encourage everyone to try a medical pedicure at least once. Medical pedicures are crucial for:

Diabetic patients, Arthritis sufferers, Runners, Ballet and other dance professionals, Athletes
Doctors and nurses, Wait staff and bartenders, Construction workers, Postal workers, Police officers, Casino workers, People who wear high heels daily.

Basic Medical Pedicure

Nails are detailed and shaped followed by an invigorating foot bath to relax and soothe your feet. Skin is exfoliated. Cuticle enhancer is applied upon completion.

Deluxe Medical Pedicure

Nails are detailed and shaped. Calluses and corns are trimmed followed by an invigorating foot bath to relax and soothe your feet. Skin is exfoliated with a customized scrub of your choice. Hydration treatment designed to nourish dry skin. Your choice of anti-fungal nail treatment or cuticle enhancer is applied upon completion.

Do:
1. When trimming nails, use a toenail clipper with a straight edge to ensure your toenail is cut straight across. Manicure scissors or fingernail clippers increase the risk of ingrown toenails because of their small, curved shape. See a podiatrist if you have a tendency to develop ingrown toenails.

2. If you choose to have pedicures at a nail salon, try to schedule your pedicure first thing in the morning. Salon foot baths are typically cleanest earlier in the day.

Don’t:

1. Leave moisture between toes. Any moisture between the toes can become a breeding ground for athlete’s foot or a fungal infection.

2. Did you know that your cuticles act as a barrier against bacteria? Don’t cut into cuticles and avoid having them pushed back. Damage to the cuticles can lead to infection and also cause them to get thicker.
